SFWA Blog Comments Update
Quick post in response to a flurry of comment spam received over the long weekend. Comment spam is spam that is automatically inserted into a weblog’s comment system — like the one found here. I’ve installed an image authentication script that should keep those pesky bots away. Now, when posting a comment, you’ll be asked to insert the random text found within a dynamically generated image. You may have run into something similar on other websites which want to make sure there is a live person and not a computer doing the input into the form.
