Brian Barr, our SFWA Board Member focused on racing events has proposed a 2 day event tentatively scheduled for March 12 & 13th.

48 hours of all thing windsurfing,

Date purposed is penciled in for the March 12-13 right now. Week after Midwinters.

Tod and Mila had the Miami Formula challenge same weekend two years ago.

Gonna purpose the budget to the BOD at this Wed meeting. Been spamming the regional core bout this and there is enough commitment to go forward.

All things windsurfing in the Republic of South Florida revolve around the Rickenbacker Causeway so this is the venue i will purpose for the gathering.

I would like to include all things windsurfing at this gathering. The Formula core racers in the region have committed to Formula racing part of the program. Also to be included could be slalom, free style, learn to windsurf, rigging/tuning, wind fishing competitions, relays, long distance race/cruse…..All suggestions will be considered.

I’m also extending invitations to anyone in the industry that would like to demo there products or any other programs they would like to contribute.

This will be a low budget, BYO, NO T-shirt, NO dinner banquet, 48 hours on the causeway.
The scope of this gathering depends on the amount of committed/reliable volunteers that come forward.
I will nominate Kat as “committed/reliable volunteer” #1. For the position of Director of Gathering, or D.O.G.
