Conditions:
Beautiful white sand beach with flat-water ocean side launch - no shore break. Best on NE and SE winds. Good on N, E and S winds. Sand reef 300 yards out provides nice breakers depending on winds.
Launch:
Windsurfers must use corridor in the northern section of the park, marked by buoys. Fresh water showers and grassy rigging area at parking lot.
Recommended Ability Level:
Ability to water-start in deep water and handle waves if venturing out past sandbar.
Directions:
From I-95 South of Downtown Miami (or US 1), take Rickenbacker Cswy. across Biscayne Bay to Key Biscayne. Crandon Park is just over the second bridge. Enter at Gates 1-2 (weekends) or at Gates 3-4 (daily). Park in the northern most lot.
