Biscayne National Park
Conditions:

Flat water and B&J bay sailing. Located at Convoy Point inside Biscayne National Park (adjacent to Homestead Bayfront Park), and just north of the Turkey Point nuclear power plant. Miami-Dade's only real location for sailing a NW. Best on North to East, must sail out past point for ESE, SE and South. If you want to sail on the south side of channel, be sure to cross above the 4th set of markers. Located in extreme southern Miami-Dade County, Biscayne National Park is 50 minutes south of Downtown Miami. Open 7:00AM to 5:30PM.

Well maintained grassy rigging area adjacent to parking lot.

All.

Directions:

Take the FLA Turnpike south and look for signs to Homestead Bayfront Park (near Homestead Motor Speedway). Exit and follow signs approx 10 miles to park entrance. Take a left towards the sign for Biscayne National Park (don't go straight or you'll have to pay to park at Homestead Bayfront Park). Follow winding road through mangroves to parking lot. Launch near canoe rack.
