Hi Ovidio,
I am writing you this email to inform you that our friend Mark Munro passed away today of a hearth attack while windsurfing in his home town of Quebec City.
Our windsurfing community is in shock.

Kiteboarding banned from Rickenbacker Cswy.

Blog post by: Ovidio    Posted on: 7:26 AM    Feedback: Comments (0)

For anyone who hasn’t seen the new signs at Hobie beach and soon coming up on windsurfer beach, kiteboarding as well as other activities have been banned from the area.

The new signs allow the police to now enforce rules by arresting or fining anyone not following  basic courtesy .

As we have learned,  if we don’t patrol ourselves, government will do it for us.

Sailboards Miami Watersports will be hosting the bi-annual swap meet and Pro Am Races on November 20th and 21st.  Swap meet starts at 10am Saturday as well as the race,  races will continue on Sunday.

Due to parking restrictions the swap meet will be held along the pedestrian walkway on the far east area by Sailboards trucks, no RV’s or trailers are allowed. Cars need to back up into parking spots  and all equipment for sale needs to stay off the road and face the inside pedestrian walkway, not the street.

Race pre-registration should start shortly, stay tuned for more information or check Miamiwindsurfing.com. or Sailboardsmiami.com.
